Review by hotel critic
Nestled in the heart of Cuenca, Ateneo Cuenca Suites feels like a cozy tropical escape, even if I'm miles away from my Bahamas home. The uniquely decorated rooms are charming and equipped with everything I needed, from air conditioning to a well-appointed kitchen—perfect for making those morning coffee runs a breeze! I especially loved the lovely high windows that let in the fresh air, keeping our suite cool and inviting as we explored the delightful, historical streets of the old town. Communication was smooth, even though there wasn’t staff around all the time, which is my cup of tea—just me and my travel buddies soaking up the beautiful views from our room. Being so close to attractions like the Mangana Tower and the Cathedral made each day an adventure of surprises. I’m definitely dreaming of returning to Cuenca and making Ateneo Cuenca my home base once again!
